The Westwood Sixshooters and Minnesota Loons played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.

The Westwood Sixshooters beat the Minnesota Loons, 3-1, at Sixshooters Stadium. The win was due in part to second baseman Radek Grosek, who hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The Sixshooters improved their record to 24-33 by beating Minnesota.

Westwood took a 3-1 lead on Grosek's 6th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Luis Ruíz in the bottom of the seventh, propelled Westwood to the win.

"Bottom line," said Minnesota skipper Calvin Beck, "we didn't play well enough to win."
