Ghosts Suffer One-Run Loss at Northville
|
Northville got a first-rate effort from pitcher Carl Rogers, who frustrated Casper hitters en route to a 2-1 Eclipse triumph at Old-Timers Park. After today's action, Northville sits at 32-25, while Casper falls to 37-20.
The Eclipse got a big at-bat from right fielder Orlando Gómez. For the game, Gómez was 1-4 with a home run. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Northville a 2-1 lead.
Gómez attributed the win to his team's "steely resolve."
