The Northville Eclipse took on the Tacoma Fur Traders at Ballpark of Tacoma.

Zhi Ling never let Tacoma get something going. The Northville left-hander commanded his cutter in pitching the Eclipse to a 4-1 win. Joe Roberts picked up the save, his 3rd.

Chipping in for Northville was designated hitter Steve Smith. He stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the third. For the game, Smith went 2-5 with 2 singles.

Smith told a Northville News reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.

The Eclipse raised their record to 33-26.
