Voodoo Tag Blue Demons with 4-1 Loss
|
The New Orleans Voodoo topped the Mexico City Blue Demons, 4-1, in United States Premier League action at The Voodoo Lounge. The game was highlighted by the performance of New Orleans pitcher Alfredo Maldonado. Dexter Yates earned the save for New Orleans, his 3rd. The win elevated the Voodoo to 41-34.
New Orleans took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Martin Mills stroked a run-scoring single to make it 1-0, Voodoo.
"Alfredo mixed and matched," said New Orleans manager Chase Sims.
