Shredders Get Past Buffalo, 4-3
The Hollywood Shredders had to overcome a fine effort from Buffalo pitcher Conan Knox to win, 4-3, at The Hollywood Bowl. Knox went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. Bill Owens snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits over 2.2 innings. He's now 2-2 on the season. The victory puts Hollywood at 29-46.

Les Moore came through for Hollywood when he hit a run-scoring single in the bottom of the eighth. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a two-strike fastball to right field, staking his team to a 4-3 lead.

"I like what I saw today," said Hollywood manager TJ Reynolds, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
