The Yakima Hops trumped the Tacoma Fur Traders, 4-2, at Hops Park. Yakima center fielder Ricardo González was terrific. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. The last-place Fur Traders dropped to 17-44.

Yakima took a 4-2 lead on González's 7th home run of the season. The solo home run, which he hit off Luis Colón in the bottom of the seventh, propelled Yakima to the win.

"No time for posing," said González. "The next game will be here before you know it."
