Providence Edges Gwinnett, 2-1, Hines Ks 9
Anthony Hines never let Gwinnett get something going. The Providence right-hander commanded his changeup in pitching the Pilgrims to a 2-1 win. The save was credited to Ernan Rillera, his 11th. The Pilgrims go to 25-37 with the win.

The Pilgrims liked what they saw from Hines. The 19-year- old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Guinea Pigs to no runs on 2 hits over 6.1 innings, and striking out 9.

"Anthony can pitch. He moves the ball around," said Providence manager Arturo Rochel.
