Eclipse first baseman John Gotaas put his stamp on his team's 7-1 win over the Casper Ghosts. Gotaas went 4-5 with 4 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Northville in the contest. David Downs got the win, improving to 5-3. He held the Ghosts to 1 run on 5 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 2. Pedro Soto got the save, the 1st for him this season.

With the game tied, 1-1, in the bottom of the fifth, Gotaas had a key at-bat for Northville. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Gotaas hit a run-scoring single off Don Walker, making the score 2-1, Eclipse.

"I like winning," Gotaas told the Northville News. "I may joke around, but when it comes down to it, winning is the most important thing."

The Eclipse, at 35-28, sit in 4th place in the Menard's AA.
