The Seattle Rocketeers picked up a win at The Hollywood Bowl, knocking off the Hollywood Shredders, 1-0. On the mound for Seattle was right-hander Bruce Hawkins. He played a key role in the triumph. Hawkins picked up the win for Seattle, going 7 innings. He gave up no runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 8-3. With the victory, the Rocketeers upped their record to 42-33.

Seattle used a well-timed hit by Ostoja Popovic to capture the win. The third baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Rocketeers ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," Popovic said.
