In a low-scoring affair between the Westwood Sixshooters and the Pine Island Dolphins, pitcher Kent Stephens was the difference between victory and defeat. The Westwood right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-1 Sixshooters win. Stephens yielded no runs over 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 0, and struck out 2. His record improves to 3-1. Peter Dupree was called on to finish, recording his 15th save.

Mike Webb had a big hit for Westwood in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Westwood leading 1-0, Webb hit a solo home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Sixshooters up, 2-0.

"I thought we played some darn good baseball," said Sixshooters manager .

At 26-37, the Sixshooters are currently 10th in the Menard's AA.
