The Pine Island Dolphins could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Jesús Costa into a win. Instead, the Northville Eclipse prevailed, 5-2. Costa threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. Norberto González picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 4-1. Jesús Costa suffered the loss. Joe Roberts finished to wrap up his 5th save.

Pedro Gabriel came through with a big-time hit for Northville. The left fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Gabriel.

Northville has now won 3 straight, while the Dolphins have lost 3 in a row.
