White Walkers Drop Thunder, 3-1
|
The Buffalo White Walkers defeated the Toronto Thunder, 3-1, in United States Premier League action at Thunder Field. Buffalo pitcher Conan Knox had a standout performance. The 5th-place Thunder have dropped 5 straight games.
Buffalo used a timely hit from Emílio Rey to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the White Walkers ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a difference-maker.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Buffalo manager Chris Lau. "It's usually not just one thing."
