Farmers Suffer 2-1 Home Defeat
|
Starting pitcher Fernando García gave the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Lancaster Farmers, 2-1, at Farmers Field. The winner was García. He threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Horácio Kaisin. Chesapeake raised its record to 38-29 with the win.
Chesapeake used a timely hit from Luis Ramírez to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Cangrejos Fantasmas ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.
"Our pitching was the difference tonight," Ramírez said.
