Fat Cats 8-4 Victors Over Casper
|
The Ottawa Fat Cats defeated the Casper Ghosts, 8-4, in M3L Double A action at Nationals Park. Ottawa pitcher Brian Pinkman had a standout performance. Ottawa is now 33-34, Casper 32-35.
Tied up with the Ghosts in the bottom of the fifth inning, the Fat Cats got a boost from first baseman Ron Mitchell. With the bases loaded, Mitchell saw a 3-1 fastball from Michael Hamilton and hit a 2-run single to break the stalemate and put Ottawa on top, 3-1.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Pinkman.
