Rails Get Clutch Win Versus Marquette
Marquette Stadium featured a tense pitchers' duel.

The Richland Rails topped the Marquette Miners, 2-1, in 10 innings at Marquette Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Richland pitcher Jaime Delegorsa. Jesús Pérez was the winner in relief. His record is now 5-1. The losing pitcher was Edgardo Gutiérrez.

Richland used the timely hitting of Gerard Hurd to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Rails on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Richland manager Eduardo Hernández.

Richland occupies 7th place in the Menard's AA at 33-34.
