Farmers Need Extra Frames to Get Past Cangrejos Fantasmas

Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at Ghost Crab Park.
The Lancaster Farmers soundly defeated the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas, 11-3, at Ghost Crab Park. John Witt, who is tied for 3rd in the 3AA in extra base hits with 27, let his bat do the talking. He hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 5 for Lancaster. The 11th-place Farmers hiked their record to 29-40.
Lancaster used the timely hitting of Vince Hall to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Farmers on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
In postgame comments, Hall said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
