The Tacoma Fur Traders did just enough to nip the Pine Island Dolphins, 5-4, in 11 innings. Tacoma pitcher Jussi Salmelainen, in particular, had a standout performance. With the win, the Fur Traders are 20-49.

The Fur Traders relied on third baseman Tim Messer for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 11th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Messer said in his postgame press conference.
