In the 5-4 Toronto win over Boston, the impact of Douglas Wacher was substantial. Wacher, who finished 5th in the PL in extra base hits with 46 in 2060, went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Toronto pitcher Yoshitaka Shinohara got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Charles Siddorn got the loss. The Thunder saw their record improve to 40-37.

Wacher had a timely hit for Toronto in the bottom of the sixth. With Toronto trailing 3-2, he turned a 0-1 forkball into a 2-run home run. It was his 20th home run of the season, making it 4-3, Toronto.

"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Wacher.
