The Ottawa Fat Cats took Tanner Davis's best shot and still were able to collect a win at Hops Park. The final score had Ottawa getting past the Hops, 6-4, in 10 innings. Davis over 6.2 innings allowed 4 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 7. José Salazaro earned the save, his 3rd, for the Fat Cats. With the win, the Fat Cats improved to 38-38.

Ottawa used the timely hitting of Robbie Shaw to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Fat Cats on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Took some scratching and clawing," said Shaw. "But we got it done."
