The Virginia Beach Whales picked up a win at Virginia Beach Grounds, knocking off the Richland Rails, 3-0. Starting pitcher Woody Johnston was a big reason why. José Lewis closed the door for Virginia Beach, picking up his 25th save of the year. Virginia Beach raised its record to 47-32 with the win.

Johnston, who was born in Pasadena, Texas, threw 105 pitches over 7.2 innings, while allowing no runs.

"Just glad I could help us get a win," said Johnston.
