Sixshooters Win at Northville, 6-4
|
Westwood left-hander Jake Blackmon pitched his team to victory over the Northville Eclipse at Old-Timers Park. The final score was 6-4. The 10th-place Sixshooters improved to 36-43.
Pedro Miranda had a big 2-run double for the Sixshooters in the top of the sixth inning. With Westwood leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Carl Rogers, who is tied for 4th in the 3AA in innings pitched with 106.2, and swatted a double to center. It was his 13th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Sixshooters ahead, 4-0.
"It's about putting our team in the best position to win ballgames," said Blackmon.
