A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Toledo Saboteurs and Ottawa Fat Cats.

The Toledo Saboteurs downed the Ottawa Fat Cats, 8-5, at Nationals Park. The Saboteurs were led by Jorge Cruz. Cruz was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times. Christian Williams earned the save for Toledo, his 9th.

Toledo used the timely hitting of Matt Nance to capture the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Saboteurs on top, 7-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.

"We came out aggressive," said Saboteurs manager Rodney Dudley. "We came out swinging the bats."

The win makes Toledo 38-42.
