Ghosts Get Past Yakima for 5-4 Win
The Casper Ghosts knocked off the Yakima Hops, 5-4, in M3L Double A action at The Graveyard. Casper pitcher and Jacksonville, Florida, native Boyd Montgomery had an outstanding performance. Casper reliever Kanzaburo Ichikawa snagged the win, upping his record to 10-3. Harlan O'Rorke shouldered the loss. Jesús Solís was called on to finish, recording his 5th save.

Greg Ax drove in one run for Casper. With no one out and the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, Ax had a clutch at-bat. Facing Yakima hurler Ron Jackson, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Ghosts a 5-4 lead.

Casper manager Jerry Duke was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard," he said.

The Ghosts win now puts them at 41-40.
