The Asheville Highlanders and Lancaster Farmers delighted fans at Farmers Field.

Lancaster picked up a win at Farmers Field, bumping off the Asheville Highlanders, 5-1. Pitcher Garry Bennett was a major reason the Farmers emerged victorious. Bennett picked up the win for Lancaster, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 2-1.

Mark MacPherson had a big 2-run double for the Farmers in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Lancaster leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from 28-year old right-handed pitcher Max von Wildungen and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 10th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Farmers ahead, 4-0.

"Garry is pitching with a lot of determination and a lot of fire," said Lancaster manager Young-hwan Hyon.

Lancaster is in 7th place in the Menard's AA with a record of 40-43.
