In a low-scoring affair between the Toledo Saboteurs and the Yakima Hops, pitcher Clemens Schlöndorff was the difference between victory and defeat. The Toledo right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-2 Saboteurs win. Toledo is now 40-43. Yakima is 48-35.

Toledo went in front, 3-2, on Ted Tribe's 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Tribe hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Yakima pitcher Myron Downs visibly perturbed.
