Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids starter Mitsuo Yoshida kept the Colorado Billy Goats hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 6-2 win. The 4th-place Billy Goats now sit at 42-36.

The Rainbow Mermaids got an important contribution from right fielder Chong-hun Chon, who in the bottom of the fifth knocked a 1-1 splitter to left for a run-scoring double. It was his 16th double of the season and put the Rainbow Mermaids ahead, 3-1.

"I'm just out there trying to have as much fun as I can while I'm playing," Yoshida told the Northern Virginia Bulletin.
