Guinea Pigs Lose 4-3 Decision to Lancaster
|
The Lancaster Farmers topped the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs, 4-3, in M3L Double A action at Farmers Field. The standout performance belonged to Lancaster pitcher and Anchorage, Alaska, native Darius Brooks. Brooks got the win, improving to 7-7. He gave up 4 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Lancaster is now 35-52.
Frank Gould, who is tied for 5th in the 3AA with a .430 on-base percentage, took Gwinnett hurler Glenn Lortkipanidze deep in the bottom of the fifth. His 2-run home run put the Farmers on top, 3-1. In all, Gould had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
