Sixshooters Lose Again, 4-3, to Pierogis
|
Squirrel Hill pitcher Bill Bray did his part in helping his team beat the Westwood Sixshooters, 4-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Bray yielded 2 runs over 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 3, and struck out 7. His record improves to 2-1. The Pierogis improved their record to 43-44 with the win over Westwood.
Gonzalo Valéncia took Westwood hurler Irving Bouman deep in the top of the sixth. His 2-run home run put the Pierogis on top, 4-2. In all, Valéncia had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"We're in a rut," said Westwood manager Ismael Soto.
