Farmers Get Extra-Inning, 6-5 Win
The Lancaster Farmers needed 10 innings to beat the Virginia Beach Whales, 6-5, at Farmers Field. The win was due in part to left fielder Troy Palmer, who went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The Farmers, at 43-45, sit in 8th place in the Menard's AA.

The Farmers got a clutch hit from right fielder Mark MacPherson. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Farmers.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said MacPherson, "one at-bat at a time."
