Lancaster Farmers starter Pancho Calderón turned in a top-notch performance against the Virginia Beach Whales at Farmers Field. The result was a win for the Farmers, 2-0. Randall Dean closed it out for his 7th save. The win gives the Farmers a record of 30-58.

Calderón earned the win, going 7 strong innings for Lancaster. The native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, allowed just 3 hits, while striking out 7. Virginia Beach hitters did next to nothing against the left-hander.

"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Marv Bradford.
