The Lancaster Farmers downed the Virginia Beach Whales, 11-8, in 11 innings. Mark MacPherson led the way, going 5-for-6 for Lancaster. The win was credited to 21-year old right-handed pitcher Fjodor Ishemgujin in relief. His record improves to 6-8. Barry St. John took the loss. Lancaster currently is in 7th place in the Menard's AA at 45-45.

With the game tied in the bottom of the 11th, MacPherson delivered for Lancaster. That's when he hit a 3-run home run off Barry St. John to win the game.

In postgame remarks, MacPherson said: "I'm proud of our guys, of their fight."
