The Toronto Thunder knocked off the Baltimore Bullets, 5-2, in United States Premier League action at Baltimore Grounds. Toronto pitcher and Canberra, Australia, native Tai sun Rang had an outstanding performance. Rang got the win, improving to 6-5. He gave up 3 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. Picking up the save was Ron Murphy, his 22nd.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Douglas Wacher? The slugging third baseman Wacher stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put Toronto up, 5-2. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.
