Rainbow Mermaids Make Voodoo 3-2 Losers
|
Northern Virginia pitcher Chris Jackson did his part in helping his team defeat the New Orleans Voodoo, 3-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Jackson got the win, improving to 4-8. He gave up 6 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. He allowed 2 runs. The win puts Northern Virginia at 48-31 this season.
António García, who is tied for 7th in the PL in triples with 3, had a direct impact on the outcome. García contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fifth inning to put Northern Virginia up, 3-0.
"Chris throwing strikes, pounding the zone, that is exactly what you want to see," said Northern Virginia manager David Lister.
