The Richland Rails downed the Pine Island Dolphins, 11-0, at Rails Ballpark. Corneliu Zamfir led the way, going 2-for-4 for Richland. Xiao-peng Le got the win, improving to 4-2. He worked 8 innings, giving up no runs on 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 3. By defeating Pine Island, the third-place Rails improved to 51-39.

The Rails got a big at-bat from first baseman Jacob Pugh, who in the bottom of the first hit a 3-run home run. It was his 14th home run of the season and put the Rails on top, 3-0.

Rails manager Ludovic Fontaine had nothing but praise for his players after an impressive win, calling the result one of the team's best performances of the season. "Everything just came together on our end," he said. "I didn't need to do too much."
