Toledo Saboteurs starter Clemens Schlöndorff kept the Virginia Beach Whales hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 9-1 win. The winning pitcher was Schlöndorff, now 2-7. He tossed 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 5 and fanning 7. The 9th-place Saboteurs go to 44-48.

"Main thing is I want the team to win," Schlöndorff told a reporter after the game. "Just have to go out there, take care of my job, and give my team a chance to win."
