Dolphins Spill Sixshooters, 7-6

The Pine Island Dolphins turned back the Westwood Sixshooters, 7-6, at Goodyear Hanger Dome. Rob Fowler, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Wes T. Walker, the winning pitcher, is now 8-4. He went 6 innings, allowing 5 runs on 7 hits, while fanning 3 and walking 4. Cliff Keir collected his 27th save.
With Pine Island leading 2-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Fowler batted against Westwood pitcher Bobby Vaughn. Fowler hit a fastball to center for a grand slam home run. His 7th home run of the season put the Dolphins on top, 6-0.
"Nice to keep stacking the wins," said Fowler.
The Dolphins raised their record to 58-35.
