Loons Get Clutch 4-3 Win
|
The Minnesota Loons faced a tough opponent in Westwood pitcher Henry Fletcher, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Loony Bin by a final score of 4-3 in 11 innings. Fletcher went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Westwood has now lost 4 straight.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Minnesota shortstop Phil Moody, facing Tim Day, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Loons the 4-3 win.
