Blues Win at Virginia Beach, 3-1

Barton Springs Blues starter Bobby Monroe found his groove in his team's 3-1 win over the Virginia Beach Whales. Ricardo Moya got the save, his 12th in 14 chances. The victory puts Barton Springs at 37-57.
Barton Springs won the game in part because of Chad Clayton. The designated hitter ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Blues ahead, 2-0. For the game, Clayton had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
"Winning is hard sometimes," said Blues manager Francisco Pelaez. "This one was nice to get."
