Hamilton Lifts Athletic Club KC to 8-7 Triumph
The Athletic Club KC defeated the Long Island Lighthouse, 8-7. Second Baseman Stu Hamilton deserved a large share of the credit. Hamilton went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4 for the Athletic Club KC. Miguel Martínez earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 6-1. Elton Ray collected save number 14.

In the bottom of the seventh, the Athletic Club KC grabbed the lead when Hamilton hit his 13th home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Joel Woodard made it 8-6, Athletic Club KC.

"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Hamilton. "I think we're going to keep proving that."

Athletic Club KC now sits at 35-44, while Long Island falls to 35-44.
