Frank Thompson was instrumental in his team's 8-7 triumph over the Tacoma Fur Traders. The right fielder went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Northville Eclipse. Northville pitcher Robert Poynter got the win. He's now 1-0. Luis López was tagged with the loss. The third-place Eclipse have won 4 straight.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Thompson hit a fastball from Luis López for a run-scoring single. The Eclipse, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Thompson.
