Fat Cats Secure 4-2 Win
|
At Goodyear Hanger Dome, the Pine Island Dolphins and Ottawa Fat Cats were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Ottawa pitcher Earnest Sorensen did his part in helping his team defeat the Pine Island Dolphins, 4-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the left-hander. The Fat Cats move to 46-50 with the win, while the Dolphins drop to 47-49.
Robbie Shaw, who is tied for 3rd in the 3AA in total bases with 158, had a direct impact on the outcome. Shaw contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Ottawa up, 4-2.
Ottawa manager Jorge Carranza said his team played a "no nonsense" game.
