Hollywood Rallies to 5-2 Win
|
The St. Louis Coeur got a superb performance from pitcher Cisco Hernández, but the Hollywood Shredders still won the game, 5-2. Hernández threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The win went to Martin Luther in relief, making him now 1-1. Joey Greco took the loss for St. Louis. Hollywood has now won 4 straight, while the Coeur have lost 3 in a row.
Soo-keun Yi drove in one run for Hollywood. The 22-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. With no one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Joey Greco. It was his 16th RBI of the season.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Hollywood manager Bill Cheese.
