Eclipse Win with Late Heroics
|
The Northville Eclipse faced a tenacious opponent in Barton Springs pitcher Bobby Monroe, but still scratched out a win at Old-Timers Park by a final score of 2-1 in 10 innings. Monroe went 7 innings and allowed no runs. Northville leads the Menard's AA by 5 games.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Northville catcher Ogai Ine, facing Fernando Rivera, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Eclipse the 2-1 win.
"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Ine said.
