The Hollywood Shredders beat the Toronto Thunder, 5-3, in 13 innings. Hollywood pitcher and Ewa Villages, Hawaii, native Chris Johnston led the way. Jack Hill, 4-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. The second-place Thunder have dropped 4 straight games.

The decisive blow was delivered in the bottom of the 13th when Tony Taylor hit a 2-run home run off 23-year old right-handed pitcher Ricardo Gamera to win the game for Hollywood. The home crowd went wild.

"The ending was a real humdinger," Taylor told reporters after the game.
