Heimo Siurulainen helped his team muscle past the Virginia Beach Whales, 8-2. In the game, the Pine Island designated hitter went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Paul Clark, the winning pitcher, improved to 3-8. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 9 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 1. Earning his 1st save of the year was José Archuletu.
