The Pine Island Dolphins did just enough to secure a victory over the Northville Eclipse, 4-3, in 10 innings at Goodyear Hanger Dome. Nobody did more than pitcher Wladimir van Munster. The Dolphins sit in second place in the Menard's AA with a record of 63-39.

Up to bat in the bottom of the tenth, 23-year old first baseman Matt Sorensen had a chance to be the hero. Northville pitcher Ensio Helminen wanted to foil that plan. But with one out, Sorensen hit a sacrifice fly. The Dolphins had themselves a thrilling win.

Said Sorensen: "It's just one win, but it feels like more when you outlast a tough opponent."
