Toledo Rallies for 6-4 Win
|
The Toledo Saboteurs beat the St. Petersburg Thunder, 6-4, at Toledo Backyard Park. The Saboteurs got a fine performance from designated hitter Su-chang Yi, who went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Peter Brenchley snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 2.2 innings. He's now 1-0 on the season. Tom Womack nailed down the save.
Yi had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 0-1 changeup from Jen-djieh Li, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Saboteurs a 6-4 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Yi.
"We took home the win," said Yi. "What's not to like?"
The Saboteurs, now 3-1, have hit the ground running this season.
