Starting pitcher Jeremy Harris pitched well enough to help the St. Petersburg Thunder beat the Squirrel Hill Pierogis, 8-3. In 5 innings, Harris surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 5. He allowed 3 runs. Hal Gaines picked up the save, his 1st.

Santiago Rodríguez had a big 3-run home run for the Thunder in the bottom of the first inning.
