Patriots Grind Out 2-1 Win
In a low-scoring affair between the Boston Patriots and the New Orleans Voodoo, pitcher Eric Buchanan was the difference between victory and defeat. The Boston right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 2-1 Patriots win. Orlando Díaz, who finished 5th in the PL in saves with 14 in 2059, nailed down the save. Had Justin Jacobson not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Jacobson hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Patriots.
