Despite a fine performance by second baseman Woody Evans, the Lake Murray MotorBoaters lost to the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs, 7-4. Evans was 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Matt Griffin recorded the save for Gwinnett, his 2nd of the season. Lake Murray now is 3-2.

Mac Kenzie broke a 4-4 tie in the top of the fourth with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It put the Guinea Pigs in front, 5-4. For the game, Kenzie drove in 2 runs.

"It was our day today," Kenzie told the Gwinnett Bulletin. "But we've got to keep our nose to the grindstone."
