The Gulf Coast Turbeaus rode a solid performance from 24-year-old starting pitcher Artie Jones to a win, beating the Billings Polar Bears, 4-2, at Mobile Home Park. Kenny Flint closed the door for Gulf Coast, picking up his 1st save of the year. The win lifts Gulf Coast to a record of 3-2.

Jones gave Gulf Coast a solid start. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 2 hits over 8 innings.

"Artie was throwing free and easy," said Gulf Coast manager Melvin McCullough.
