Saboteurs Best Thunder in Pitching Duel
Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Toledo Saboteurs and the St. Petersburg Thunder. Toledo won it, 2-1. Toledo starter Steve Stewart was in command. Lonnie Burton notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. His record now sits at 2-0. With the win, Toledo climbs to 5-1.

The Saboteurs got a big hit from first baseman Larry Davis. In the bottom of the sixth, Davis smacked a 2-run double off St. Petersburg pitcher Stan Coffey. It was his 2nd double of the season. Suddenly, the Saboteurs were ahead, 2-1.

"I like our mindset right now," said Toledo manager Rodney Dudley.
