Blues Earn 3-1 Home Win
|
Barton Springs right-hander Alejandro Paboal pitched his team to victory over the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas at Blues Field. The final score was 3-1. The winner was Paboal. He threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Pedro Cabral. Tom Butler sewed up the save, his 1st.
Chad Clayton had a big run-scoring double for the Blues in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Barton Springs leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Pedro Cabral and swatted a double to left. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Blues ahead, 2-0.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Clayton.
With the win, Barton Springs climbs to 2-5.
